In October Bouts were lucky enough to be invited to play the CMJ Festival in New York City as part of the Music From ireland showcase. CMJ is a massive events with thousands of artists making the trip over and hundreds of shows happening every day. We decided to make the most of the opportunity while we were there and booked a few extra shows for ourselves. To help promote our excursion I made up a couple of simple pieces to use on our social media sites. The photos used were both taken by myself when I was last in New York.
The final poster included here is one I made up to advertise a gig we performed in Whelan’s. We had been working on new material for quite some time and decided to road test some of it in front a live audience so we booked a one-off show in the upstairs venue.
All of the designs here are very simple but we use a standard font across all our work from our vinyls to our posters. For our next release we will probably move away from this but it has served us well so far.
