Creme Egg

Cadbury’s Creme Egg campaigns are well known for their inventiveness and quirky style. We were charged with coming up with a new campaign for their launch this year. The brief asked for TV, print, outdoor and digital executions.

Our campaign is based around the idea of “The Gooniverse”, an alternate universe inhabited by, and also composed of, Creme Eggs. Our visual style was inspired by 50’s B-movies, vintage sci-fi and children’s cartoons. We also tried to maintain a tone of voice that is uniquely Creme Egg throughout.

We used mixed media and also chose to expand our artwork outside the usual boundaries of particular formats. Therefore, our 48 sheets stretch off the canvas and our bus t-sides creep outside the margins.

This campaign was really interesting to work on mainly because it was fun. Creme Egg is a brand which allows you to stretch your creative muscles and venture into the absurd.
