Each October Dublin plays host to The Bram Stoker Festival celebrating the godfather of Gothic literature and his most famous creation, Dracula. Over three days lots of creepy, spooky events take place all over the city and Dublin showcases its Gothic spirit.
To promote the event we came up with a piece to showcase Dublin’s Gothic heart, something that still beats today. With so many different interpretations of what being Goth truly means we wants to showcase the variety of Gothic architecture, fashion, music and literature that all contribute to the larger melting pot of Gothic culture.
Kate Burke and I worked together with a fantastic illustrator, Lauren O’Neill, to produce this piece.
