The Homeless crisis in Ireland has reached critical levels. There are 90,000 households waiting for social housing across Ireland, and over 2,000 children living in homeless accommodation in Dublin. Average rents are rising and increasingly families are struggling.
We recently worked together with our client, SVP, to draw attention to this issue. The idea was to create a pop-up estate agent with posters in the window relating to the poor quality accommodation that families are being forced into. This was supported by posting the listings on Daft.ie and also producing a video to showcase the piece to the wider public.
We were fortunate that the campaign struck a chord with people and was picked up by The Irish Times, The Journal.ie, Joe.ie, Broadsheet, 98FM and NearFM.
The listing on Daft.ie got over 20,000 views in the first 3 days, the video has been watched over 30,000 times on Facebook and shared more than 500 times. Additionally the client reached their target of 1,200 on their petition for the Government.
